Getting Results Without Authority

Understand how to influence others, while taking their working styles and constraints into account

In modern organizations, work is increasingly supervised by leaders who must deal with multiple departments and people who do not formally report to them. This presents special challenges for which people must be equipped, particularly in the skill of being able to positively influence others so that they willingly follow. By carefully adjusting your ideas to the concerns and communication styles of others, and by formulating your ideas in a compelling way, your level of influence can dramatically improve. As influencing skills are used more often, resistance to change decreases, the need to use positional power, lessens, and stronger relationships develop.

This workshop employs a hands-on simulated project which is used to apply the learning. Participants also bring relevant case studies to the workshop that relate to their everyday experience.
